My wife's been digging one of these, and we finally broke down and got one. In pink. But, they seem to be nice little things if web surfing is the big thing. I've played with them some in the stores (hey, why not?), but I won't have as good of impression until it comes in.
We did, but given that it's mostly for my wife to her websurfing upstairs when I'm at work, and that we could get one in pink without additional charges. It worked out. But, mostly, it came down to something she liked.
right, i was just curious, as the various netbooks are all pretty much the same minus one or two key features that set them apart.
You didn't say whether you got an EEE with Xandros or Windows XP? I must admit i've fallen for the big netbook craze at the moment. I plan to purchase a Dell Mini Inspiron 9 w/ Ubuntu in the coming months. Can't wait!
It comes with Xandros. I'll be able to see it (if I'm not asleep) on Friday, according to the UPS tracker. Better get my camera ready!
Do you plan to keep Xandros or install Windows XP? I've not used the modified version of Xandros on the EEE but it looks a little too basic from the screenshots I've seen. But I suppose if all you want to do is surf the internet and chat online than it should fulfill those requirements easily.
