Hi . wondering if anyone can help me. Purchased a computer package last year and everything was fine. However, was forced to re-install windows xp and im now having problems with my pc speakers. I have two desktop speakers that connect via the line out connection, and im getting no sound out of them. the headphones and line in are working fine and ive made sure all the volumes are correct and nothing is muted. Its as if the speakers are just not recognised or the line out isnt working. The specifications of my built in audio controller are as follows:-

integrated audio controller in intel 82801db I/O controller hub (ICH4)
    AC'97 2.2 Compliant
    AC'97 link for audio codec
seperate independant PCI function for audio

    AD 1981a/Realtek ALC202A Audio Codec '97

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
