I have a Compaq Presario CQ60 laptop and a while ago the screen cracked (I only get image on the upper lefthand corner), but the laptop worked fine when hooked to an external monitor, but now I get the Windows error recovery message and Windows won't load. I have the Windows install dvd and know how to fix windows but I need to be able to see what I'm doing. I tried Fn+F4 both before and after loading the Windows dvd and plugging in my external monitor before turning the laptop on, but I still can't get any display on the external monitor at any time. Please help.
