I've heard on other forums and such that are sites online that buy and resell parts, effectively enabling you to get new, good stuff for $50 or less, "underground selling" it could be called. Has anyone heard of such sites?
For cheap components you might also want to look into ordering from Canada. Quite often the price is the same here or less than it is in American dollars, and with the dollar at $1.56 or so compared to ours lots of times you can pick up a great deal.

Well what country are you in? Shipping across the border can be expensive if yer in the US. In that case, I'd recommend Newegg. I can't keep telling how great they are.
Hmm I thought electronics were duty free, or at least I don't remember ever having to pay them when I've ordered from Micron, or eCost.
