Hi all. I need advice for a friend who dropped an external HDD which now makes a terrific high pitch noise and is inaccessible. It is obviously a mechanical damage and my friend is more than happy to pay for the recovery. Can anyone recommend a good company in the UK who may be able to retrieve the data from the obviously damaged drive? Do you think that the drive manufacturer can help at all with matters as such? Or at least recommend an approved company which can help? I can Google myself so please only reply if you have previous experience (good or bad...) with such a business.... Thanks in advance!
