I had a little help putting this list together, and am on somewhat of a tight budget. I don't need anything fancy but enough to have a good kick. (Coder, need to be able to have semi-heavy programs open at the same time and light gaming)

Summary of all the parts: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/7MPa - ~$370

    CPU: AMD A8-3870K 3.0GHz Quad-Core Processor
MotherBoard: Asus F1A75-M Micro ATX FM1 Motherboard
    Memory: Patriot G Series Sector 5 Edition 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1333 Memory
Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

Case: Rosewill R103A ATX Mid Tower Case w/350W Power Supply (Low power unit I was told so the crappy 350w PSU would be fine for now I was told lol)

Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer

    Mouse/Keyboard/Monitor/OS: Already owned.

I just really want to make sure the parts are compatible before ordering. For the price tag it looks solid to me, but I am mostly software type of guy and not so much hardware and will take advice when I can get it!

Did a slight update to the list, completely forgot the video card lol.

    Quick link

    CPU: AMD A8-3850K 3.0GHz Quad-Core Processor

MotherBoard: Asus F1A75-M Micro ATX FM1 Motherboard

    Memory: Patriot G Series Sector 5 Edition 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1333 Memory

Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

Video Card: Asus Radeon HD 6670 1GB Video Card

Case: Rosewill R103A ATX Mid Tower Case w/350W Power Supply

Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer

Changed the CPU to the 3850 instead as the only difference is really no overclocking, since I won't be doing that it's a bit cheaper.
And added the 6670 video card.

I attempted an estimate PSU overestimating here and there for just in case and look like the built in 350w power supply will just be able to handle it. If so the build will be slightly under $500..good choice?

    Minimum PSU Wattage: 293 W

You need to up your power supply to at least 450 to 500 watt...
