Format 40GB EXTERNAL HARD DISK

    hello, i have XP on my pc, but i need to format to fat32 a 40gb external hard disk, when i tried to format the only choice i see is ntfs, can you help me?

    Delete the partition, make another one and see if it changes anything

    Partition Magic! worst comes to worst that program has fixed almost ever issue I've ever had.

    Or take it to a win98 System sure some neighbor or friend has an old pc laying around.

    Go under Disk Management in the Administrative Tools/Computer Management section (look under Control Panel). You'll see all the storage devices attached to the system and should be able to format it as you like from there.
