Help, before i go mad

    I have just purchased a radeon 9200 128meg grafix card and it is slower than my 64meg 9000. i am running a gigabyte P4 titan motherboard, 768megs ddr 266 ram,windows xp pro, 1.7gig P4 celeron chip. wot is wrong? please help
    tests on 3mark2001 were:

    radeon 9000 6800
    radeon 9200 5500

    Did you adjust the display settings at all regarding the benchmark? Did you change the performance of the card in the ATi control panel? Those are a couple of things that could easily distort the 3dmark score.

    Hey
    Make sure you have completely removed every single trace of the 9000 drivers from your system otherwise you can get some major problems....you can download PowerStrip with that link I provided for you and check your clock speeds to see if they meet default clock speeds...250MHz Core/400MHz Memory. Gl!

    thanx for your input guys but the prob. has been solved, i replaced my intel with an AMD, and scored 7800 points with no tweaks at all

    Well, the Celeron's performance is pretty castrated, so I'm not surprised at all with such a major upgrade.
