Ever since back about IExplorer 7, I started noticing left over instances of iexplorer running in the taskmanager. I always knew when to check since the machine would start stalling or runnning slow. Sometimes it would freeze altogether. I could go into the taskmanager and delete the iexplorer (sometimes there would be more than one, and nothing showing on the screen or taskbar) and then the machine would clear up again. When I downloaded IE 8 several months ago, I had hoped that stuff had been fixed (I get auto updates) but it steady still does it . Does anybody know what causes this ?? Running XP Pro, SuperAntiSpyware and Norton Security.
