Hi, I have recently upgraded from a second generation i7 to a seventh generation one (i7 7700 3.4 Ghz). I had a gtx 570 that worked fine in my earlier system; on 64 bit windows 7. In my new system, installed the latest driver for gtx570 (in safe mode / clean option). But on reboot, the windows would not open in a normal mode. It had to be in the safe mode. I uninstalled the driver, and the windows now opens in the normal mode. I even installed the display driver uninstaller and uninstalled the existing nvidia driver before reinstalling it again. The issue persists. Can't figure out what the issue is. GTX has a PCIe 2.0, where as my mother board has a PCIe 3.0. Is that the issue? Or is it simply that gtx 570 is not comparable with the 7th gen processor? Any leads would be appreciated.
