I assembled my computer today, turned it on, worked great and started installing windows on it. i come back, and the monitor is in sleep mode and can't be woken. now, nothing will come up on the screen. i've checked every cable, put my graphics card in a different pci slot, tried to boot without the dvd drive or hdd connected. the computer turns on fine, everything is running, fans up, lights on, etc.

what do you think is the problem?

    my specs

XMS3 Series 8GB DDR3-1333 (PC3-10666) CL9 Dual Channel Desktop Memory Kit (Two 4GB Memory Modules)
    Barracuda 1TB 7,200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive ST3100005N1A1AS
FX 8120 Black Edition 3.1GHz Eight-Core Socket AM3+ Boxed Processor
    GA-970A-UD3 Socket AM3+ 970 ATX AMD Motherboard
BP550 Plus 550W ATX Modular Power

im using an old gtx 8800 until my radeon arrives in the mail

i've tried to unplug everything but the mobo, psu, 1 stick of ram and gpu but everything runs but nothing on the monitor
