Hi... I am looking for advice regarding compatibility between my current laptop and a new monitor. My current laptop is a few years old but decent spec. So hopefully should be up to the job.
    Laptop details:
Dell Q17R with dedicated graphics card, which is noted on system as Intel HD graphics card (don't know any more than that).
    Running Windows 7_64 bit

I am looking for a new monitor to use with Autodesk Revit 3D modelling software (not really complicated models though), and probably more significantly for photo editing (amateur level for Flickr and personal printing only) .

I've researched various aspects and believe the following specs will be ok for my uses....

24 inch (27 inch would be nice).
    IPS panel.
Almost 100% sRGB gamut (72% NTSC).
    HDMI & VGA input.
    Full HD 1920 x 1080..?

Also, there seems to be a lot of 4K monitors out there but I believe my laptop may struggle with 4K?

Could anyone in the know please comment on anything from the above specs that may cause me issues?
