Yea, good idea. Or you caould take a crayon and write !!EXFOLIATE!! on the side in really big letters.
Well, I just finished some ducting work on my computer. Amazingly, there was something wrong with my cooling. After my computer was on for about 5 hours, 2 of which were idle, the others working in MS Publisher, it was running at the incredible temperature of 34 celsius, after a restart. This is obviously unacceptable with that monster cooler, so I moved some fans and put in some ducting. I'll test it in the morning when the 30 some decibals are acceptable. EDIT: Oh yea, that was overclocked 100 MHz.
mines 37-43 on idle and full load haha, is that better than 46 on load and 30 on idle? after all, everythings stock except for the cpu fan
everythings stock, im hoping to upgrade christmas whole new cooling in case ide drive for backups hopefully a intuos3 4x5 even, its amazing
i wish I had it, but then again, when it comes to balancing out gaming, and designing, id rather pick what I have now haha
Whew, I tried using that dryer exhaust tubing as ducting for my computer. That was a trip. It would have worked really well but it was too big. I got the idea from that Sunbeam Overclockers kit, but it only accepts 80 mm fans. So Now I continue on my search for a better cooling solution. Peltier anyone?
my case has dropped like 15*C in total since i have done a few mondifications to it, new hdd cooler, 2 coolermaster case fans, new ezcool case, new artic freezer 4 cpu cooler, new alaska northbridge cooler (nb tems arent any lower bt damn is the fan quieter!) cpu idles at about 30-33*C but has dropped as low as 26*C!!! dont play games so it never really maxes out, highest it has been for a long time is like 42*C
haha nice man wow 26? mine starts at 29 and keeps climbing until 37 where it idles haha but then again, not that bad, since it loads at the same temps
dude check out the pictures http://www.hardwareforums.com/showthread.php?t=6119&page=4 (this thread) i like the new cooler, as enormous as it may be its gr8, and was cheap
£15.22 gr8 value, i am thinking of adding 2 controllers on the front, the coolermaster musketeer (silver with blue dials - i like the idea of the fan control AND the sound card output) and maybe the Vantec Nexus NXP-205-SL Multi Fan Controller - Silver that would mean more controll over more fans and a reading of my soundcard (which would be nice as its quite good, not amazing but quite good) As you can see, i like silver and blue, i think they go great together and am sticking with this theme thruoughout my computer
I envy you, im upgrading christmas, I just don't know what to pick Cooling kit Digital Camera INtuos 3 Hard Drive (for backups) ahhh
no just different fans for case to replace, and install new ones in places i didn even know my case can hold fans, dont worry, air current is still planned out and gonna be good.
No!! Thermaltake Tower 112 is waaaaay better. But Prometia is really the only way to go. I'm looking at building my own phase change cooler.
