There's a newer 8-pin PCIe connector, which the Radeon HD 2900's make use of. Make sure it's a PCIe connector and not an 8-pin auxillary +12V connector, as they are entirely different.

Pretty much any computer shop should have them for a few bucks. But, failing that this is what you want.

    yes

easy, PSU, cos your current PSU may not power 8800 GTS, however your current grfx will be powered by the new PSU (i think)

BTW: please correct me if i'm wrong, as i'm not 100% sure, cheers guys, TIA

    just to comment on this
Yes, it will run it.... for a while, but it is a cheap build of a PSU and is likely to fail when you least expect it, again we encourage you to look at Big B's PSU sticky (great stuff) which can be found in my sig.

well, personally i have an Antec TP trio 550W it's a power house cos it has 312V rails & it has a load regulation +/- 3%, Antec TP Trio 550 on newegg quite a saving @ $85

BTW: & free 3 day shipping

or you could set the Antec TP Trio 650W if you want to spend the full $130

yeah, have a look @ Bs PSU Sticky

most crappy PSU's have only 1 rail, some decent PSU's have 2 power rails, however, the TP Trio has 3 power rails, some PSU's also have 4 power rails (Antec Quattro 850W & 1000W

think of a PSU rail as a fuse, the more fuses that are in use (in parallel not in serial, all together, not one after the other) the more power can flow though the fuses, without them blowing

OCZ are on the recommended list, however, i don't think the list is in order of the most powerful PSU, personally i prefer Antec, but everyone has their own opinion & i've heard good things about Enermax

BTW: i used to have a Tagan
