Hello All, I have (unfortunately) an Acer Aspire X3910 desktop computer. I have had it 6 months and it been in for repairs three times already. One of the main problems I'm having with it is that the case is very small. And the inside gets very hot Acer has hat to replace the computer once and change the hard drive twice. I was advised that I should change the case. However I don't know the form factor that I need to buy. The information that Acer states is that its a "Small Form Factor" but when I try to look for it I can't find that form factor. Could someone tell me what form factors I can use and if possible recommend a case. Attached is information. Any Help Will Be Appreciated
Yea! That is what they call a Small form factor, You need to look at the back of the computer to see what the IO /plate looks like.. Can you give a screen shot of the rear of the computer ? You might be able to put all your parts into a Mid size case..
Hi Ghostman 1 I don't have an image but i do have 3 URL's that have images & info. http://www.twenga.co.uk/prices-Aspire-X3910-ACER-Desktop-PCs-638158-0 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?VISuperSize&item=130519536406 http://support.acer.com/acerpanam/Manuals/acer/2010/ServiceGuides/SG_AX3910_BOOK.pdf
Man,,That is a weird case, I can see why it must get hot.. There is no room to breath... You can try another case, what motherboard is in it ? They make ALL kinds of case,You should be able to find a MID-case to work..
need some screen shots of this motherboard.....I have moved a Dell Small form factor to a larger Mid case before, It should almost be the same.. You will need another power supply and the rear IO plate.. It hard to say with no photo's of this motherboard.. I think that motherboard is BTX and not ATX, you will needto find this out before you buy any case...
This case might work,If your motherboard is a BTX... Also Gateway cases are BTX form... http://www.bytemecomputers.net/colorsit-btx1001-microbtx-form-factor-computer-1001.html
