tried to install a dvd writer after that no cd roms will not work my dvd rom and cd writer get picked up on startup but not in my computer they are on device manager with a yellow eclamation mark tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail windows wont pick them up please help [email protected]
do you have any other CD-ROM etc installed, try changing the DVD writer as the primary device! also make sure you install the correct drivers... whats the DVD writer called? company? your operating system?
If youve got a dvd write you'd might as well take the other one out! It reads everything and write everything.
thx for reply sniper its driving me crazy i have tried all combinations to no avail windows wont recoqnise it although its in device manager with yellow exclamation marks something stopping it all i did was put on dvd writer pioneer a106 latest one please reply andy
first uninstall the DVD writer from the Device Manager, them turn of the computer, take out any other cd-rom, cdr drives, and ONLY leave the DVD writer in, and then install the drivers for the device, let us know if you still have problems!
thx everyone for all help i cracked it at 03.00 in the morning it was so easy i had installed a program earlier on so decided to uninstall it as a last resort and hey presto then it took me till 4am to do fmy first dvd copy as the prog wpuld not work but nero doing the job thx again all
