possible tweak

    instead of putting [noparse][google]<text>[/google][/noparse] wouldn't it look better if it displayed a "search Google for: <text>" image ?

    I guess it would but what if you wanted to link mid sentences?

    it would still work because it would only place the <text> between the google tags on the image like this:

    [noparse][google]<text>[/google][/noparse] would return something like this:
    [​IMG]

    obviosly thi pic is quick & crude, but you get the idea

    wait so you mean to show the google logo (or whatever image) which links to the search result.

    both the google logo (or whatever) & catagories here & whatever neccissary

    Edit: sorry, my mistake :doh:, i meant i'm willing to learn to program & do whatever

    I used to have a button on my forum with the G-logo on it. You just had to select a piece of text and then click on that G-button.
