Problem with Mouse Activities

    hi

    I am having a Pentium III Machine with 128 MB RAM, 20 GB HDD, 815 Intel Chipset Motherboard..

    Many a times when i start an application my mouse STOPS WORKING SMOOTHLY... or if some small process is going on in the back ground the mouse works very slow and even gives jerks...

    please can anyone suggest me some solution to the problem

    you might be running too many backround programs, this will be eating up a lot of ram, which could cause the problem!

    I am having win 98 installed on my machine,, on my background i am having only Mcfee Antivirus working..

    this problem occurs when i am opening an application...

    moreover at my office i am having celeron and p II machine with win 2k prof, win nt workstation 4 and win 98 installed with 128 mb ram,,, but in those machines dont give such problems..

    Have you tried using the built in Win. 98 system monitor to see you if your CPU usage is going 'overboard' when you open an app?.

    Have you tried a different OS to see if it's a Win98 specfic prob on your machine?.
