    Hi all

    Hope you are all well.

I recently purchased a new, original HP17 cartridge on eBay for a billy bargain price.
However, it was more or less dead on arrival and will only print blue.
The guy was really cool about it and refunded the money.
But he never wanted the cartridge back.

Now, being so tight assed, my heart cringed with the thought of just throwing this thing in the bin without giving it one last chance.

Does anyone know a 'grandma remedy' which might get theis muva to work?
I dunno, maybe rub camomile lotion on it or cook it in vinigar for 10 Min on gas mark 6? You get my drift.....

Any suggestions, but serious ones, will be greatly appreciated.

    Ta

Lol, I don't think there is a way to be honest.

Have you tried the clean function on your printer?

    Thanks Mega

    Yes I did all that.
I shook it, tapped it, knocked it and tried the clean and align functions but ........:(

Oh well, that will teach me getting cheap stuff from the bay.

Actualy, I never bothered to try HP knowledge base...
    Maybe I will try there.

HP's 90% of their technology is in their cartridges......So what I would suggest is throw that cartridge coz even if you work out somethin with this, you will end up spoiling your printer.

basically, yes, it's NOT a :swear: good idea to drink it, trust me, i know. :(

EDIT: it starts with bad stomach ache, and ends at the hospital, (stomach pump) NOT MY BEST IDEA (except for looking at all the young nurses, too :swear: right (it :swear: was worth it)
