It happened once last night while I was browsing Marketplace. Restarted the console without the hard drive, booted up fine. Restarted again with the hard drive and was able to continue playing Def Jam for the rest of the night. Tried turning it on just now to try couple of new games, got an E79 hard drive error. Took it out and got the RROD. Tried all kinds of shit nothing worked. Called support but "all our technicians are busy at the moment". Any ideas? 90-day store warranty has expired. Receipt is dated May 2008. Never modded 'cause of Xbox Live. Anything I can do about it a this point? I need a solution real pronto to make it in time for X08 (Oct 24-26). All input appreciated. The RROD is covered by a 3 year warranty. You can go to the xbox website and get them to send you a box to get it repaired without having to call customer support.
