I am not sure if this is the place to ask, but here goes : )

I recently aquired some compaq proliant servers. I had to obtain mounting rails for them from another source, and noticed all of the rail mounts for these servers are 29" long. The rails don't mount properly on my standard 42U open rack as they are either too short or too long depending on which notch I have the depth on my rack set too. (The rack is able to be adjusted to fit different depth servers) I am assuming that I have to get a "Compaq" rack for these servers, but is this the case? Is the mounting for compaq racks proprietary like every other thing compaq ever made?

I would thought you could buy them from anywhere and the attach , have you tried contacting compaq?
