    cool stuff there. But why buy a laptop to connect to output displays? Just use a PC tower in my opinion

    I didn't buy the laptop for that, I bought the laptop back in September for University, and if I could sell my laptop I would and I'd build a PC, but I can't sell my laptop (personal reasons).

    Nah I normally only use 3 of them (not the 2 ancient ones).

    They've accumulated over the years from various places.

    yea same, thats how I built this computer. Got a case from here, a graphics card there, hard drives accummilated from my previous syetems etc.

    Home build. different gpu, mobo and cpu now. But this is as was. The wiring is still a work in progress :doh:

    woah, is that a VF-900 Cu coller on ya graphics? And I like ya memory, is that XMS/2?

    Hey Rimmer.

    Yes on both counts. Zalman heatpipe cooler for the hdd as well. T'was a very quiet rig.

    this is my setup :) Left: Acer Travelmate 8204 notebook. Right: Artic-Cooling Silentium T5, LG Flatron 19" monitor, HP Deskjet 840C printer (old one).

    woah, I recognize that power supply, if its a thermaltake toughpower I have it, the 600W version. And webbo, considering your 16 like me, that is cool, I have a 360 as well, but its on the 28"er widescreen downstairs in the front room, waiting for me to get a job and get something better than a 21" in me room :p

    Hiya

    Just finished my new build.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Finally got it up and running after loads of probs, but got there in the end....I'd really love to hear what you guys....or girls for that matter....think of it....!!!!

    The specs are in my siggy, some of the pictures aren't too good coz the keyboard is black and the desk is black and the 20" lcd is black and the speakers are eerrrrrr...!!!!!....black......lol....well u get the idea...!!!! Here's the pics anyway......

    My Acer Aspire 5051AWXMi laptop - AMD Turion 64, 1Gb RAM, Vista Home Premium - http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k281/Kazphill/011.jpg

    My Acer T180 which has been abandoned temporarily Upgraded to Athlon 64X2 6000+, 2Gb RAM ....I plan to hook this up to the Samsung display on the VGA port, with my new build on the DVI to switch back and fore beteen the 2 untl I get another display for the T180 (u also get a shot of my trusty tool box...lol.... and also my Brother MFC-845CW Wireless Network fax/printer/scanner all-in-one......-

    I've got more piccys but these are the better of them I think, and I'm also uploading a .WMA file of the PC as well and will post the link to it here once its uploaded.......I know lol....it's a bit childish with the titles and end credits, but I was messing about with Windows movie maker for a laugh, anyway you get a better idea of the PC from the video, though all it is is a slideshow of pics...but please take a look and let me know what you think:
