    Hi

I'm having problems with my computer, it's a 1.7 celron with mv43n motherboard, radeon 9600XT graphics card and I'm running windows 2000 profesional. There are two main glitches with the sound, if I play a game which is reletively new like Jedi academy the sound cuts out during the game the only way of getting the sound back it by toggling the sound quality, sometimes the only way I can get sound back is by rebooting the computer.

    anyone assistence will much appriciated

If you're using the onboard sound, make sure you've got the latest drivers for it.
Another thing you can try is making sure you don't have 3D Hardware Acceleration (or something along those lines) checked/enabled in JK:JA's control panel.

If those fail, you could always look into buying a SoundBlaster 128 and disable the onboard sound.
