    hey guys,

am currently in the process of building a new PC, and was considering putting in some kind of soundproofing to keep the noise down. saw some on this site: QuietPC.com - AcoustiPack Standard SE Acoustic Material Kit

any general thoughts on the idea? is it worth the effort/money? and does it make a significant enough difference to the heat levels inside the case to worry about?

    cheers.

While I haven't used it, as long as you're not obstructing the airflow, the noise dampening would help. I'm not that familiar on soundproofing, but you might get some good reading over at Silent PC Review.

oh man, i just thought of this but back in the day, G4 tv was called Tech TV and this guy called yoshi, was a crazy modder and he covered his whole case in expanding foam, except the inlet and exhaust wholes. you could carve down the foam to make it look sweet and paint it. Yeah thats real extreme but hey. Anyways try searching old Tech Tv shows or yoshi's mods or something
