you couldent build a decent gaming computer for 600 dollars, it would have ot be 1000, and even thats pushing it!

You are probably right, however my expectations for a decent computer are probably a little lower than yours. You can see the computer I am using now. What kind a money in your opinion would it take to build a good gaming computer and what components would you suggest.

I have had trouble playing the age of empire games, I play starcraft online sometimes but I often get booted because of my computers lag. That may still be a problem with a good computer since I only have dial up available here. I would also like to be able to play the battlefield and everquest games.

I think that $875 system i posted with the GTO2 modded to an x850 would run almost every game on great settings, and you could add $40 and get a 3500+, and spend $925+the case. And that would run any FPS with settings Maxed out. (correct me if im wrong)

you get booted becouse your on a slow internet connection, which causes you to get high ping, so you get laggy.

those game dont sound too demanding, i would say, 9800xt, x700pro, 6600gt, 6800 etc.... 6800's are pretty cheap too.

I have an idea on a video card, but I am not sure on how to build the other components around a video card and ensure that everything will be compatible. In case you have not noticed I am not very computer literate.

Which is why Girtho961 has put together a compatible system there that will run pretty much any game maxed out!

No you didn't it just seemed for a second there that you weren't paying attention or reading any of the threads after people had made many lists or components for you to get and you were still asking about what you needed, it's fine, you should get the 3500+, that will make one sweet system!

Thanks for all the help guys. I will look into the system girth suggested and I will let you know how it goes. Knowing myself I will probably have some more questions.
