Vista Western Digital Problem

    ok so i just got a western digital caviar se 400gb drive. vista recognizes it in the device manager, but i cannot actually access the hard drive. any ideas? my computer specs are in the my computer tab under my name

    Have you partitioned the harddrive? You can do it in Administrative Tools > Computer management > Disk management.

    yeah RH is right, you need to partition & format the HDD & assign the partition (s) to drive letters
