Just found 20x LG GSA-H55N/L and curiouse about what's N and L means. Is it some kind of different LightScribe burning methods? What are the good and bad of each? Why I need them? Do I need both?

    Thanks.

    What's L and N on LightScribe?

Looks like it's just part of the model number. I'm sure there's something to it, but off-hand, I'm not familiar with LG's numbering convention.

No, I've ment other... I've heard about different methods of burning (or something else, I'm not sure) like N or L. I need to know what they mean and what they do and how. If someone has a clue - reply here please.

    Thanks.

no, i think the LG GSAH55N has much greater support for the media it can use

    Sources

and the drives are probably only available in separate countries, as 1 of sources is from UK & 1 from Netherlands

LightScribe allows you to burn a picture or words on the label side. As far as I know, there's no variance or format war going on. LightScribe is LightScribe, so there's no apparent difference like DVD +RW or -RW formats.
