    i found a radeon x600xt 256mb for $150
My specs are in my signature, and w/ my 305W PS im wondering when i order the x600xt (500/740 effective core/memory clock speeds) should i get a new 480W ps? That only costs $30, but im not sure if it needs certain cables for dual drives, and im not a pro in installing ps-es either- BUT

Do i need a new ps (even as low as 350W) for the 256MB X600XT; considering the other specs of my pc?

What PSU do you have---specifically the brand. As far as wattage, do NOT pay attention to that. I'd be really wary of a $30 PSU, since it's likely some generic unit. The power supply is something you absolutely just do not want to go to the lowest bidder on.

That's an inexpensive power supply that has decent amps on the 3.3, 5, and 12V rails.
With shipping it's about $45, but I can almost guarantee that it's going to be a better unit that the 480W you're looking at.

Now, you may have a great deal with that 480W, but without knowing what unit it is, I can't in good conscience tell you to go blindly buy it.
