Toshiba Satellite A100-225 Compatability

I've recently acquired a Toshiba Satellite A100-225 and have discovered a few problems installing Debian, i've had nothing but success installing debian on the satellites before, the sarge installer hangs on Loading Modules for PC Cards. The Same goes for knoppix, does anyone know of any way around this?

May be you should contact the dealer or the person from which you have purchased this Toshiba Satellite A100-225.
