my only question is regarding your graphics card selection? and it is why?? i'm not trying to be a snob, i'm just wondering why you decided on two not so good cards, when it looks like you'll be gaming??

^the 8800gt is still a good card, although getting two of them is kinda pointless when you could get a 4870 card for about the same price. With that in mind I'd say get the 4870 lol.

Also if you are folding (folding @ Home) then stick with the 8800gt's as they consume the least amount of power and give off little heat compared to other cards and are great for folding, but if you want a single more powerful card for folding and for gaming grab a 9800gx2, it is the most powefule folding card out running in at about 12000 ppd, while each of those 8800gt's will get 5000ppd (each, so 10000 ppd with both)

But that is all in the asumption that you are folding lol. If not then ignore the last paraghraph.

Sorry forgot to update. Going for this. Folding? I think I heard about it somewhere, but forgot about it. This is my first really decent computer. I'm still playing with a Pentium 3.

Awesome, thats a pretty impressive rig you have going there. Also, good choice with EVGA, they have awesome tech support, and make good products as well. On a side note, the HD4870s perform better than the GTX260s for the same price. Oh yeah, on a side note, what display are you using? and at what resolution?

If your talking about the new rig. I haven't bought it yet. I will be using my old monitor until I can buy a new one. The monitor I have now is a Samsung 700DF. The video card I have now is a nvidia 64 meg. So this will be a giant leap forward when I get this new rig.

reason i asked about monitor/resolution is because there is a vveerry little performance gap from the 8 series all the way to the GTX series cards at lower resolution. That changes on super demanding games a little, but just something to take into consideration.

personally i would not go with any of that. Other then the rifle and the optical drives.
