Default Tweaking the BIOS

Ok so I built my first PC containing of these parts:

-Antec Solo Black/Silver Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
-ASUS P5Q Pro LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard
-eVGA Nvidia 8800GS
-CORSAIR CMPSU-550VX 550W ATX12V V2.2 Power Supply
-Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450
-G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK
-Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD2500AAKS 250GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive
-SAMSUNG 22X DVD Burner Black SATA Model SH-S223F

I won't lie, it's pretty freakin' sweet.

But this is my first time building a computer and so tweaking it to max performance is something I want to learn.

First off, the RAM runs at 800mhz. I believe this is pretty standard, it requires some altering of the BIOS to make it run at 1066mhz. I have no idea on how to do this. Any info would be great (detailed as possible).

Second, when my computer starts it has the messages

Adapter 1:
Disk Information
No Hard Disk Detected.

What do I need to do to fix this if it is a problem.

Thanks for your help!

My Computer

Lets start with your HDD. Connect it your first SATA slot on your mother board and secure it. Also connect the power cable to it and secure that. Now that everything is connected, enter the BIOS. Once in, you should see your HDD listed there as a "primary" connection. Also, look for "boot priority" in your BIOS. In it you will see 2 devices (since you only have 2 SATA devices, your dvd rom and your hard drive). Select the Samsung dvd rom as first and your hdd as second. Save your settings and exit. This should solve your problem. If in your BIOS it still didnt detect your settings than you should switch the power connectors and SATA connection because they might be faulty. Lastly, clear your CMOS!
To do this, shut off your PC and take out the little, flat silver 12v battery from your motherboard. Wait about 10 seconds and put it back in. Recheck your BIOS.

Now! As for your RAM, your looking to overclock it. Im not an expert at it. I do, however, know physically how to change its settings. First, what company is your BIOS?

I should make it clear that I've followed all of tis from the start and the computer works. I'm on it right now with Vista 64-bit. I don't think the message is a problem, as much as I'm curious why it pops up.

http://www4.ncsu.edu/~jrbehren/bios.jpg for a message of what pops up after bios.

My Computer

In that case, do you have anything unnecessary connected to your motherboard? Anything at all unusual?
