I've had my AMD64 for yonks, on this 1 WU?
It's showing up as "Steps" not "Frames", i'm doing about 320 Steps per minute, but it's a 2.5Million Step WU.. It's only at about 50% mark now.. (i don't leave it running 24/7) only during the day while i am at work.. or i go out.) But still, is this slow or what? i swear i've done a 2.5million step before (i think) in alot less time.. on a slower machine..) My PC Benches just off 4,000 in PCMark04 (i have slow hard drive and i do not have dual channel memory atm just 1 stick of 512mb)

Make sure you've set the CPU usage to 100% for fastest folding. It rarely affects performance unless your burning or gaming. Your HD obviously won't affect the speed of folding but it may be that you have a WU assignment which takes longer than average. 01bolandn gets 5000 frame WUs because her PC is a fast 3.4Ghz one. The Tinker cores i don't think use the optimised code so that may be it. But I've not heard of the steps thing only frames.

Right well, i've posted in the support forum on the official F@H forums, so hopefully we'll find something that i've done wrong or that i can change to make it go faster.
Oh.. and i got given a Duron 700mhz, i overclocked it to 840mhz and it won't post on screen, so i removed the memory, reset the cmos and put some new memory in (i have about 5GB worth of SD lying around).. and it wont turn on - and it didnt overheat 21C!
