Default Upgrade advice

Hi

I am planning on upgrading my Graphics Card. I can get an EVGA GeForce 8800 Ultra 768 MB for about the same Price as a Point of View GeForce 9800 GX2.
I read a couple of articles that said that the GX 2 suffers at some resolutions when AA is activated. It also said that in some games the 8800 is faster as the GX 2 has got 2 X 512 MB ram where the 8800 has 1 X 768. I rarely play games at the highest resolutions (usually I play at 1280 X 1024) .I don’t upgrade often so I need the card that will ‘last’ me the longest.

What card would be best suited for me?

Any Advice?

Welcome to the forum

I would say get a 9800GTX easy to overclock and ultra is not worth it anymore i think they stopped making ultra cards. BTW the 9800GX2 is not overclocked so you can't really compare it with an 8800 ultra, that's the mistake people make, they should compare two cards that are overclocked to the max.
