My Computer

Default usb port

i reinstalled windows agen (format) and the usb port dont get detected. it cant find the driver and i cant connect to the iinternet from that pc becoz its a usb modem. only sp1/2 can solve it i think.

firstly have you tried using the generic USB drivers?

i also think you would be better off Slipstreaming your XP CD, you may be better doing thins from a friends system (if you can't use generic drivers) or the system your using now

an XP SP 2 CD should have your USB drivers on it, but then again they may be on SP 1 CD

of download USB drivers on the same system you posted this message with and burn them to CD

Your motherboard cd should have USB drivers on there.

NOPE. tried evrything but no. downloaded SP2 and just connected the hard drive to the computer and it just detected usb generic drivers. after all that nd it jus started to work. anywayz i installed SP2 so all is good now. thx anyway
