Red face Very strange in-game sound trouble.

Hello everbody, firstly I'd like to introduce myself, my names Peter, I'm from the United Kingdom and unfortunately my first post on these forums is infact one requiring help.

Okay, let me get started. I have recently purchased an Audigy 4. It's installed and working fine. However the trouble is, when loading a game and playing the game (counterstrike 1.6) the sound is louder on one side of the headphones. Strangely alt-tabbing many times manages to balance the sound. At times it will be louder in the left earphone, rather than the right .

If anyone could offer some insight or better has the solution then please don't hesitate to post a reply, It's greatly appreciated.

Signing off.

My Computer

Does the same happen with PC speakers?
Have you tried the headphones on a different sound source?
Have you set your Audigy to emulate surround sound or a 4 speaker system
in the Creative control panel?
These are the first places you should look.

My Computer

I just want to tack down the problem, so for clarity, is the issue happening in CS only or in all games?
