VGA Box for PS2 to CRT?

Not sure if this is the right forum, but here's what I want: to connect my PS2 video output to a CRT monitor. I did a search and it looks like these things called VGA boxes are made for this purpose.

Is this the best/most cost-effective way to get the signal transferred? Does anyone have suggestions for some good ones out there? (i.e., is this one decent?)
