Default vga cable for 360

getting my xbox 360 next week and been told to get the vga cable so i can run it off my 17" lcd monitor rather than my tv cos its an old 32" big thing, i borrowed my mates xbox 360 untill mine comes so i could try out hitman and dead rising and it looks good on my tv but obviously could be better anyway will it look better if i invest on the cable and have it running on the pc monitor.as i can also plug in my logitech x530 5.1 so will sound the part too.

Yeah it should look great, it'll be like a slightly scaled up 720p, and LCD monitors are progressive by nature so you'll have a great image.

Isn't the xbox360 HD?
In which case the resolution will be larger on your LCD screen and so it will look even better

Congrats man, glad it worked out, gives me some hope as I was thinking of doing that for when I go to college next year and won't have room for a TV and monitor. Granted a 37+ inch screen would be really slick but I think you'll find that you get a better picture with the monitor actually.

ok this is all i needed. This concludes it, i have a 21" LCD monitor and i want my 360 to run through my GeForce 7900 which came with component outs via s-video, but to no avail it wont recognize that i have the 360 hooked up. So i go thinkin to myself that there has to be a VGA adapter for the 360...better yet there better be one, or i'll probably have to go talkin with Microsoft about it... so thanks to no more questions............for now.

Cant believe this is the first ive heard of this vga cable .... getting one NOW anyway !! Though i have a little problem , theres no speakers on my 19" LCD therefore theres no audio output sockets , so besides using the headset on the pad is there any other way of getting audio ?
