My Computer

Default Videos won't show up

The audio on the video will play or it will be really faded and have a red tint. But streaming videos work fine or downloaded google videos. Just divx, Windows media, and quicktime movies won't show up on the screen. they were working before i installed the new video driver, possibly that why. Also shadows in games of static objects flicker. Any ideas

yeah you tube and google video all work, but none of the ones i mentioned work. I looked around and possibily its a codec issue but i doubt it. I have no idea whats going on

Give VLC a try, I had some trouble with codecs a while back but Addis suggested that payer and it's played everything I've thrown at it with no problem so far.

My Computer

Can you clarify exactly what the problem is?

When I used to use Windows, I used Realplayer exclusively and had no problems. The only externel codecs needed are Quicktime.

yeah it seems to be that only quicktime, windows media, and divx videos, also VLC media player, won't play but the audio work. The file will load and the player will open and the scroll bar will go along like its playing and the video doesn't show up on the screen. Same problem with dvds. Realplayer needs a subscription i think and even then it doesn't seem like its an issue with any player as they all do the same thing
