Default Voodoo 5500 64mb card

can neone tell me why this card will not work with metal gear solid 2 substance, it should, i even tried overclocking it to the max, and still i only get sound, and no video, can anyone help me out here

What OS and what drivers are you using? Also, are you playing it in OpenGL or Direct3D?

have you looked in the readme file to see if there are any references to the card about any problems it might have with the voodoo cards??

Along with what Sniper said, you might try changing the game's resolution (assuming you can get to that point) and trying to run it in Direct 3D. I'll get back to you with anymore info I can find.

Simple cheap idea, get the hell rid of your crap card. I saw one at a garage sale for 15$. Pick up a geforce 4 MX 440 for like 65$...

Skaeleen, i am gettin radeon pro 9000, pro 9500, or pro9800, prob 9000 for now, then get 9500 later, oh and someone wants this card for 35$ lol

Sell it as fast as possible, somone offered me a Geforce 4 TI 4200 128MB for 50, but i wasnt interesed, im looking into the 8500LE for a chepa nice card. Go for the 9700 if you want the 9800, becuase benchmarks show that th 9800 aint much better. And if you get the right card you can trun the 9500 into a 9700

i know, i know, i hve been reading alot of the new ati, but 9000 pro is 149 atm, and 9500 pro is 319, so ill get 9000 pro for now, then upgrade later, after my dads new pc is built and give him the 9000 pro

The 9000 is a ncie decent card. I wish i had soemthing better, but its fine for now, Im spending all ym cash on the case mods

Its the Same card! Why would I want the same one! LOL.

I'm looking into the ATI 9000 PRO OEM right now, cheap nice, decent enough....
