My Computer

Talking w00t! Bagged an IT job!

Not a bad weeks work really! I applied for 3 jobs and within the week I bagged a Network Support Technician role with great benefits including bonuses and training! I am MCSA qualified at the moment but they would pay for me to become MCSE credited! They will even let me take paid days off work to complete my studies!

The role is pretty diverse and I won't be stuck in an office all day. I might find myself providing support remotely or visiting a client's office to troubleshoot their network. This should expand my skills massively and give me an opportunity to apply what I have learned through my qualifications to the real world.

The company is a Microsoft Gold Partner so Linux is a bad word there. The company director who interviewed me even slagged Linux when I told him I run openSUSE!! I had to bite my tongue in the interview but I was so tempted to retaliate!

So I start a week monday and am really looking forward to it!

Megamaced: "I'm sorry, I just cannot accept this job."
Boss: "Why's that?"
Megamaced: "I can't give up my beliefs, Linux is just right. End of."
