Wants to build a new PC

Hello everybody,

After considering number of posts I have come to this decisioin that I should go for an assembled PC. I have one PC already but that sucks cant run even WinXP properly. Its Dell with 20gb HDD, 256Mb RAM, CD writer, NIC 10/100, 56Kbps modem..bla bla nothing intresting.
I wants to make a future prefect PC but economical as well. I know that

AMD will be my best choice because they offer great prices.

So, I wants to build a 64bit PC consists of AMD processor which will work fine with Win VISTA. I am not a heavy gamer. I have run warcraft on my old PC and it was working fine for me, didnt find any problem as I havent played so many games on it. Actually, I mean to say that I dont want to buy a graphics card, no sound card, no modem, no network card.

Ok, I think that is about it. You should be able to choose the monitor, mouse, keyboard, and speakers. All of this can change, of course. One of the things you may want to change is SLI. You can go with a non SLI board, an SLI board with one card, or an SLI configuration. I also put in a large HDD and a RAID array. You may want to go with 1 hard drive, or a bigger RAID or whatever. Well, I didn't keep track of the prices but I would imagine it would all cost in the neighborhood of $1200 US. I kept it all reasonable for you.

It seems that you have shown me the very best PC after x2 processors but I dont need this much.......2 GB RAM....wooooooo...... Max RAM I can think of is 1GB....not more than that and if 3700+ is expensive then I will go with 3000+ because it supports 64bit computing also(future protected u know) but not less than that. In case of HDD I am happy with one 120GB not very less nor too much.
For the Video Card, I have already specified that I dont need it because I m not a heavy gamer~!

Actually, you might want to reconsider having some sort of video card. If you don't you will NEED to make sure the motherboard has on-board video, and not all do. If you go that route, understand that the on-board graphics take part of your system RAM as makeshift video card RAM.
Also, Vista is apparently going to require a DirectX 9 capable graphics solution to work...something you may want to take note of.

wooooohoooooooo.....nice one dude........You know I dont have to buy from Australia. I can get all the peices from NZ and I am not buying all the parts new...some second hand as well~!....I believe it will cost me near about 500 NZD

Just one more stupid question.....In future if I wants to increase the Processor to 4000+.......will that mother board support

Assuming you get a Socket 939-based system, yes. In a worst case scenario, you may have to update your BIOS, but that's about it. It sounds intimidating, but companies have made it pretty easy these days.

The main thing to pay attention to is your power supply. Make sure you get a good one. I've got a link to a thread I made about it in my sig that should help explain things.
