old news, they new like 2 months ago when the pheonix rover landed, it uncovered a large slab of ice 4 inchs beneath the serface.

Old news? No. They did see ice already from the Mars Global Surveyor, but now it's 100% known that the seen ice is WATER, not some weird mix...
