Default What is "Verifying DMI pool data" screen

My pc boots fine, but there is a black screen that comes after the post screen that says" verifying DMI pool data, with a lot of information above it. It lasts for 5 seconds, then it continues to boot normally. Can anyone tell me what this screen means, and if there is a way to disable it to speed up my boot time (currently 40 seconds). Nothing is wrong with my pc though. Thanks for your help.

i remember this but i can't remember the exact BIOS setting that you alter to avoid receiving this message, if i were you i'd reset the BIOS / CMOS settings to their defaults, this will almost definitely prevent the message from being displayed

DMI means Direct Media Interface, and is the link between the northbridge and southbride on Intel motherboards (links 2 essential components with each other).

And what Donkey means, could be the Quick Boot option...

DMI is the Desktop Management Interface. When the bios is verifying the pool data its just a table of data it is sending to the OS.
