Default What's the difference between 65nm and 90nm?

I ask this because there are two different models of an AMD processor that I'm considering (6000+). They are exactly the same price, both are 95W, but here are the differences:

- Model "A" is 65nm, 3.1 GHz, only 1MB L2 cache
- Model "B" is 90nm, 3.0 GHz, 2x1MB (2MB) L2 cache

To me, Model "B" seems like a better buy because of the cache, but I'm stumped as to what the real difference is between the 65nm and 90nm versions. Why would they be the same price?

65nm processors are smaller and use less power, thus producing less heat. Less heat means better efficiency

Thanks for the reply. I think I'll go with the 65nm version then, despite the smaller cache. I'm more worried about heat and durability issues than I am about a slight bump in performance.
