lol. sim card is the mobile network chip which has to be put into the phone to allow you to make calls. for e,g if u had a t mobile sim card in your phone, you have to top it up via a t mobile voucher in order to get credit to make calss which are sold in £10,20 and i think £50.

Sim cards can also hold your phone book depending on whether you choose to store your contacts on the phone or a sim card.

T mobile tend to rip people off IMO, I use them .

your phone will probably be locked on T-Mobile, basically a mobil phone will not function without a SIM card, and a SIM card also stores about 100 contacts and numbers and 20 or even 50 text messages

the phone will not work without a SIM card

so a sim card is sort of like the hd for a pda, how would you store minutes, same as a phone?just buy a prepaid card and enter the pin?
and you need it in order for the pda to work-why would t-mobile not include a sim card in their packages

if its a pda and u gonna store lots of junk on it and the only memory it was is sim u might have to pay for a lot more than 30 becuase the 30 ones are only like 512mb of storeage or maybe less

Sim cards are basically your programming for a GSM phone. It stores your phone # so you can swap cards from one phone to another and your number moves along with it. The can also store up to 250 phone numbers which makes it nice if your transferring from phone to phone you don't have to re-add everyone.

There are two different types of Sim cards, the first is a locked card that depending on your carrier range from free to $60 and is only able to be used for that particular carrier. The other type is an unlocked card which means you can take it from carrier to carrier and aren't locked into only one particular provider.

yeah it wont work without a sim card but most phones nowadays, like sony w800i or nokia 6280 lets u switch the phone on and play music or do anything but make calls or use the internet. older phoes give an error measssage to insert sim card
