Post When is SP1 for Vista Out?

Hi guys

I just wanted to know when SP1 for windows vista will be out? or has it been released and for some reason i haven't noticed lol. Becuase i heard it was going to be released sometime in Feb but now there's nothing, no new news.

Also one other question is the SP1 just going to be a load of update for software and security or is SP1 going to make vista have better performance? (i wish)

It will be officially released in march, but I'm running it right now. I got it in an 'unofficial way'.

The only real improvement is faster copying and moving of files. I haven't noticed any other improvements. But I did noticed that the performance is quite lower than before applying SP1.

i am also running the beta version of it that microsoft released to the press and it's partners. there is no new software, but it is slightly faster, although ive noticed that i have trouble running older games designed for xp such as GTA san andreas and some other games randomly crash. hopefully that will be fixed in the final release

The Vista SP1 Release Candidate is available to MSDN subscribers. It will be released to the public in March.
