Default will this cpu cooler fit?

am looking to change my cpu fan to try and make it run a bit quieter, i have a celeron d 320 (which i believe is socket 478)

after some research, am looking at an arctic cooling alpine 7, which according to their website, works with all celeron d processors (Arctic Cooling) however, it also says it is a socket 775 cooler.

am a bit confused by this, will this fit my socket 478 processor?

was also looking at the arctic cooling freezer 4 as an alternative (Arctic Cooling, as this is listed as socket 478.

p.s. am looking at arctic cooling fans cos they're cheap!

cheers.

LGA775 is incompatible with socket 478, so that cooler won't work with your system. Instead go for the S478 arctic cooling freezer 4.

Yea, the AC Freezer 4 is pretty good. It will definately be adequate for a Celeron D at stock speeds.
