win2k problems

yes i know, i'm a plank, anyway

i currently have a win2k laptop (my carers 9 year old daughters laptop)

now (as usual) changed some settings and stuff, now i only have read only access sometimes, i think i disabled the sharing of C: amongst other things

and the first thing i thought of was system restore

this laptop was configured to be restricted & obviously i don't have an admin password

thinking about it i shouldn't have been able to change anything that would disable HDD access of make the HDD read only

if you would like more info, just ask, and please don't post "plank" as i already know i'm a plank

i would prefer to fix this by tomorrow, because, she is coming in tomorrow & i don't really want to tell her until it's fixed / working as before

uhm... I'm not to sure what your wanting help with donkey :/

Can you remember whatever it was you did that caused it? (or what you did before it happened)

What exactly is wrong? (or not as it was before)

well, me being me, thinking i know best, i'm wrong, that i know, so, i've learnt an important lesson, if it works don't try to fix it

originally, i was going to set the wallpaper to tile an hannah montana pic, but with my messing, now active desktop is disabled & swapfile creation it limited to the default 20Mb, i don't remember what i changed specifically but i will try changing all settings i usually make to what i think they were

well my carer arrived, & i said "ok, get my

ing bo11ocking over with, & she didn't give me one or a bo11ocking,

she was ok with it

, i've always assumed if you borrow something, you take better care of it than your own stuff, cos i don't give 2 sh1ts about my stuff except mi pyuta, really
