My Computer

Default windows 98 widescreen

Does windows 98 support widescreen?
i ahev an old computer coming in for playing some old games that dont run right on xp and i have a 22 inch 1650x1080 widescreen monitor and i was wondering if the newest (i think the year was 2002) ati rage pro would support widescreen. (if i can get widescreen going i know the games most likely will run in 3:4) heres the link to the dell website for the computer Documentation
i have the small from factor one with the 450 mhz p3.
One more question, i found a new program called powerstrip that lets you set certain things up and i was thinking maybe i could get it set up using that if nothing else.

Off-hand, I don't think so, but you could try using the display modes that 98 says don't work. However, I think WS may be more of a graphics chip thing rather than the OS.

thats what i thought but wouldnt it be more of an issue with the driver supporting it than the card itself
and i dont know if the newest driver supports it

I don't know if this is even relevant anymore but the drivers only allowed 1280x768 or some of the equvalents. Kinda sucked on a 22 inch panel.
