Can anyone tell me how to check for when an OS was installed on a Hard Drive.
I have the hard drive in another pc connected to a USB to SATA/IDE cable. Is there a timestamp put on the disk? Thanks in advance. |

There may be an easier way, but if you allow all operating system files to be viewed, then you could look at when a system file was created (eg config.sys). Mine says 6th February 2008, which is when I last installed Windows.
